"Marriage is patterned after Christ's covenant relationship to His redeemed people, the church. And therefore, the highest meaning and the most ultimate purpose of marriage is to put the covenant relationship of Christ and His church on display. that is why marriage exists." -John Piper

Hiya Everyone!! This week has been a bit of a whirlwind however I have some big new to share with ya'll! I have recently decided to return home to Texas, and now as I write this I have been home almost 36 hours. I know crazy huh, because if you would have talked to me a 5 months ago I would have declared to you that other than to visit I didn't plan on being back to Texas much, or often! Just goes to show me huh! Anyways...the Lord is doing a brilliant work in Exeter with the new Calvary Chapel church plant and through the Velarde Family...they will be having their 4th Sunday Morning Service and going strong! I will still be continuing to preserver with them but rather than in the flesh it will be in prayer and hope you will too! "For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ." I know that the Lord has great things in store there and am confident that though they may be one less in number that the Lord will continue to be exalted and receive all of the glory, honor and praise!

As for me...there are still many things up in the air here in Texas, however I am excited to see what the Lord desires to do and in which ways He desires to grow me, mold me, and use me! Last night I got right back into fellowship with Watersedge Fellowship for dinner, fellowship, worship, communion and the word... it was a sweet time of catching up with my family and friends & sharing the things the Lord has taught me these past 5 months! So that's all for now...I'll try and keep you informed as to whats next and until then...May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine continually upon you!

In Christ alone my hope is found,

Everyday...."the steadfast of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning." Lamentations 3:22-23

"Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you." 1 Samuel 12:24

"Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me" Micah 7:7

"Life is wasted if we do not grasp the glory of the cross, cherish it for the treasure that it is, and cleave to it as the highest price of every pleasure and the deepest comfort in every pain."

"I plead with you, don’t try to be strong in your own strength; it will not be there when you need it. Only one strength will be there—the strength that God gives according to the gospel."

-John Piper

Thoughts from the pen of Oswald Chambers...

“The greatest competitor of true devotion to Jesus is the service we do for Him. It is easier to serve than to pour out our lives completely for Him. The goal of the call of God is His satisfaction, not simply that we should do something for Him. We are not sent to do battle for God, but to be used by God in His battles. Are we more devoted to service than we are to Jesus Christ Himself?” —Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest, January 18.

“Being faithful to Jesus Christ is the most difficult thing we try to do today. We will be faithful to our work, to serving others, or to anything else; just don’t ask us to be faithful to Jesus Christ. Many Christians become very impatient when we talk about faithfulness to Jesus. Our Lord is dethroned more deliberately by Christian workers than by the world. We treat God as if He were a machine designed only to bless us, and we think of Jesus as just another one of the workers.” —Oswald Chambers, “My Utmost For His Highest,” December 18

United once again...in the KITCHEN! Today was our first Sunday service here in Exeter and it was a truly blessed time! Here's the two pictures I was able to shoot off of Sandra, Sofia & I scrubbing away for the Lord!

Mike and Sofia were able to make it down for the first service from London and it was such a blessing to be able to catch up and fellowship with them even though it was quite a quick trip!!

Post copied from the Velardes site!!

Calvary Chapel Exeter: First Sunday Service

Thank you everybody who was praying for us today, as we had our first Sunday morning service. We thank the Lord as things went so well. We had a great time of getting to know people and getting to know those that we already knew. It was truly an amazing day and a wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord.

Thanks again to all for your prayers!
